And now Rhys, the gentle giant from books 1 and 2, gets his own story and HEA. We met Rhys when he joined Dylan and Angelo in Lovato’s and he’s Harry’s brother from Whisper. Rhys is lonely. He’s tired of faceless people in the club and being the 3rd wheel, always outside of a loving relationship. He’s kind and caring with a heart of gold. He and Jevon are just so cute together. Their story is somewhat different from the others in this series, but that makes their story no less appealing.

Rhy’s life as a paramedic by day and bouncing from partner to partner in Lovato’s has lost its appeal. In a bar grabbing a pint, he meets Jevon and their chemistry is instantaneous. Back at Rhy’s place, Jevon reveals that he is rather inexperienced with men. They spend a night together and then a series of events keeps them from meeting up again for quite some time. The world works against these two so many times. They begin a tentative relationship that ends up being on a countdown – Jevon is due to leave the UK in just a few weeks. Meanwhile, Rhys struggles against so many issues with his past that keeps him from his own happiness.

Life is messy and I equally loved and was frustrated by the events that kept these two from connecting. Gahhhh just like life! And Rhy’s insecurity over his past and Jevon’s over his inexperience was so relatable. I loved how these two men could easily love the other but struggled a bit to accept what was right in front of them. Their journey to a HEA was just so sweet though, you can’t help but fall in love right along with them!
