I have a really bad track record with final books in trilogies. I'm starting to wonder if it is me and not the books. In the end, the Tearling series buckled under the weight of its sprawl - too many characters, too many settings, too many times, too many worlds. The third book just cannot handle them all in any kind of satisfying manner. I do appreciate the growth we see in Kelsea, but plot-wise, there was a moment where I just couldn't do it anymore.
