I’m having to sit with my feelings on this book for a bit. On one hand - I love the Norse mythology influence/setting so much. On the other hand - I felt like the middle of the book I was just re-reading the same thing over and over, and not really getting anywhere. I’m struggling with these conflicting feelings because typically I’m usually going “oh my god I love this book!!!” and over looking any flaws 😂 that being said, I’m also struggling with a softer female lead here, I found myself going “holy shit Silla you really can’t protect yourself it’s fucking embarrassing” and facepalming internally (don’t tell my therapist plz) but as I read on I’ve come to love her and her acceptance of who she is and her unwillingness to change her heart! I could really say so much more, but just know this, the setting is quite intriguing, the characters will make you question your morals, and the plot is only thickening!!
