He's Not My Type by Meghan Quinn

5.0

This is my 15th Meghan Quinn book. I love all her work, of course some more than others - that's normal. My 3rd Meghan Quinn book was "So Not Meant To Be" and that has been my absolute favorite book of hers ever since, and JP Cane is also like my top 5 book boyfriend...

Well, He's Not My Type has officially moved to the #1 spot for my favorite Meghan Quinn book. Look this was a very difficult & hard decision to make. However, Halsey Holmes is a walking GREEN FLAG! This man has been through so much. As we know prior to even reading his book (& if you have read any of the other books in the Vancouver Agitators series) you know that his twin brother passed away which has made him shut down, isolate himself, become so quiet & numb to the world - the only thing that man loved was hockey & reading. Until he meets Blakley White who works with the Vancouver Agitators. It was love at first sight for him, he finally woke up from wanted to start living again. Until he realized that Miss Blakey had a long term boyfriend. So, Halsey waited & was the most patient man ever. When Blakey & her boyfriend broke up, Halsey finally was able to shoot his shot. However, he was so nervous around her, and wasn't the same man he was before his brother died he didn't know what to do or say.

In comes LEVI POSEY & the rest of the friend group (Pacey Lawes, Silas Taters, & Eli Hornsby - well until he finds out what the goal was "Get Halsey with Blakey" which he backed out on because he didn't want to lie/keep secrets from Penny, who is Blakey's bestie.... until Penny gets involved with the match making as well). If you love found family with hilarious friend interactions and text messages, you will be literally laughing out loud.

Like I mentioned I have read a lot of Meghan Quinn & Halsey Holmes (the MMC) is quiet sweetheart... but man CHAPTER 16!!! When they finally got together, that was an entirely different man. The things that man said & did... wow! To me, this was the spiciest Meghan Quinn book.

But what made this book become my new #1 (even though "So Not Meant To Be" is a very close second), is like the last 12% of the book. My freakin heart, I did cry. Halsey Holmes needs to be protected at all cost, but when in the bedroom - he can let go.. cause d*mn!

***Note to author: Will Posey get his own book? I will feel incomplete if he doesn't!
