The League of Gentlewomen Witches by India Holton

Did not finish book. Stopped at 46%.
I got a little bored with it honestly. I wasn’t super invested in the plot and while some of the banter with the characters was amusing it also felt kind of stiff. I felt like it was trying really hard to be Pride and Prejudice, even referencing Jane Austen a lot, but it wasn’t. Which for me is tough, I feel like you’re setting up for failure with that because no matter what you can’t be Pride and Prejudice. This book just made me want to reread that instead. I didn’t dislike it, but I got to the halfway point and just had no desire to keep going, and it kept sitting around on my desk while I felt compelled to read other books instead, and then the library due date came up and I just didn’t care enough to rush to finish it. And life is too short to force yourself to finish a book just because you feel like you should.
