The Ex-Girlfriend Murder Club
by Gloria Chao
Wanted to love this. The premise? Gold. Three exes teaming up after finding their shared dirtbag boyfriend dead? Could’ve been A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. But nah.
The first half drags with lab drama and Tucker’s cringey lies, then the actual murder plot feels slapped together last-minute. The ending? RUSHED. Like the author hit a deadline and yeeted the solution. Tucker’s POV snippets and repetitive "bad luck" rants added nothing. It was truly a wated potential.... The "Murder Club" barely investigates! They just... panic and make terrible choices.
Wouldn’t re-read or recommend. Stick with Good Girl’s Guide if you want a tight, satisfying mystery. Already forgot most of the book 2 days later after reading it. This book has zero impact.
