Tattoos and Clues: Paranormal Cozy Mystery by Trixie Silvertale

5.0

Tattoos and Clues by Trixie Silvertale is the second installment, and we get to see how Mitzy handles another case and some more magic.

Will Mitzy figure out who killed Odell's little brother?

We find Mitzy shortly after the end of the first book, with another dead body. I am not sure if she is the corpse magnet or if it's Pyewacket. Either way, the two of them find a body on the rocks and get Sheriff Erick involved. It turns out that the body belongs to Odell's little brother. Odell calls in a favor and asks if Mitzy will find out what happened to his brother because he knows it wasn't suicide.

So, Mitzy is her same pop culture referencing, witty self. But she notices some changes happening. It is fun to see how Mitzy handles these developments. Her friendship with Silas is improving. Mitzy is also enjoying having family around. She and Pye have settled into a closeness and routine. It's almost as though they can communicate with each other.

Ghost-ma
Myrtle Isadora Johnson Linder Duncan Willamet Rogers is Mitzy's paternal grandmother. Who happens to be a ghost confined to the Bell, Book & Candle building. She and Mitzy have some of the same traits, even if they call them by different names. Ghost-ma is what Mitzy calls her when describing her when not in Isadora's presence. Mitzy calls her Gram most of the time. Their relationship is adorable, and they are getting closer. Some people can feel her presence, but no one except Mitzy and Pye can hear her.

Isadora isn't one to sit around twiddling her thumbs. She is working to improve her situation. I like her a lot. Isadora comes across as a classy lady, but she is real, which I especially appreciate. She doesn't hide her past she embraces it and finds ways to make everyone's lives better.

Five Stars

My rating for Tattoos and Clues by Trixie Silvertale is five stars. I love the wacky little town with its odd but sweet characters. Also, I highly recommend it. It seriously makes me laugh at some of the situations that Mitzy gets herself into.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
