The pacing is really odd to me. The only character I feel strongly about is Touchstone, but I don't know if I like him enough to keep reading the series. I did like Mogget, but he was more amusing than engaging. The writing itself is beautiful, though. The problem is that it's beautiful throughout, and the tone never changes, so it kind of feels like I can't tell when something important is happening. That might be intentional, I suppose. I feel like this book would be better to read than to listen to, even if Tim Curry is the narrator.
