written in a way that feels poetic and intentionally naive, the narrator seems to speak so authentically it’s like you’re reading her diary for a few months. She seems so weak and resilient at the same time. A refreshing coming of age novel set in the character’s early-mid twenties rather than their teenage years.
Moderate: Death and Racism
Minor: Sexual harassment
