I did enjoy the story and the writing wa  beautiful. Wordlbuilding was great, chatacters were complex, in my opinion, and the magic system is intriguing. I listened on audiobbok, but I think physically reading would have been better. I started and stopped this book once before finally finishing this time. It was a slow moving plot and I think I just wasn't in the mood for that, but the wait at the library was months long and I didn't want to wait to finish again! I think lots of people will like it though. I wish I was as in love as so many others. Maybe I'll try again one day.
