This book contains mild trigger plots of abandonment and suicide. It is handled well but one should keep in mind while reading

This is my second Catharina Maura book, which is written way better. The other book I read was The Wrong Bride from Sinclair Series. The plot of this book is well tied together. It is an ex's brother romance trope. At first, I thought the first part was well written as it had a good story buildup. In the second part, I realised that they were just talking about the past all this while. It makes me wonder if it could have been written in a different way. It could have added more suspense.

Things I liked:

1. Plot. It had lots of potentials. I wish it had been narrated a bit differently but it is still a good read.
2. Characters. I liked that the leads had defined characteristics. ;

Things I wished were different:
1. Narrative structure. But that's my personal opinion. Could be biased.
