“Avoiding the possibility of hurt does not make you safer. It only results in a life half-lived.”
It took me a while to enter this story and to like the characters, but once it was done, once the secondary plots were launched, I truly had a lovely time with this romance.
It was super funny, and quite different from what I’m used to read. Just like the characters, I felt surprised as I realized that in the end I DID like the characters.
I liked the questionning about love, about control and freedom. That was the most enjoyable here, to discuss these themes that are still complicated for a lot of person to understand. I loved that our MMC did.
A nice moment.
Thank you to the author and Harper Fiction for the access to the eARC on NetGalley. My opinions are my own.
