A nice book
I would rate this book a 3.5. The story is surely good with a royal feel. The scenes are royal and elegant. But I didn't find the story that interesting. The chapters are short and easy to read, but the chapters aren't that interesting. I wish I could see atleast 1 complete love story in this book.
Jameson and Hollis made a nice couple but it would be better if Jameson wasn't a king.
Silas and Hollis shared a sweet and comforting love which is beautiful in its own way.
The book showcase many stories simultaneously some of which left untold.
Somewhere I found hollis to be self centered but she's not she nice and selfless.
Overall the ending is beautiful and it showcase a new begning. Must try reading it if like royal scenes and stories without much drama.
I like the beginning of the story it's elegant and royal. Hollis and Delia grace friendship is so beautiful. Jameson and hollis made a good couple and that lasted until Silas moved to Corroa with his family. Although eastoffe family is so kind and courageous. Silas and Hollis had a bond since then.
I didn't like kind quinten he's some mean and selfish man who wants nothing more than crown. Valentina is such a sweet and beautiful girl. I felt sad for her. Although hollis and Valentina got to become good friends. Delia grace was a good friend to hollis but she has her own motives. Tho j can't blame her as it's her past that has shaped her this way.
The moment when Silas asked hollis to come with him and she agreed was the most beautiful moment and Jameson letting hollis go showcase that Jameson loved hollis as well. Hollis and Silas wedding started as a beautiful moment and ended as a nightmare. Eventually destiny doesn't go the way she had planned to go.
"I just needed you to know that, even though I don’t feel you, I’m going to remember you. And if I one day find the will to love again, I will only know if it’s love . . . because you taught me what that was. Before you, every glimpse I’d seen of it was a lie. These lines is like a summary of hollis and Silas love story. Silas taught Hollis how to love unconditionally.
And the same love hollis gave to Lady easyoffe and scarlet by going to isolte and she did what Silas would do for his family.
I love loving nature of Silas, Hollis's hope and will to keep trying. I love each and every character of this story except King quinten
But I wish someday, somewhere hollis and Silas will reunite to complete their love story.
