The Ground Beneath Her Feet by Salman Rushdie

5.0

salman rushdie kills me every time. there's so much plot and detail and so many characters in these books, and theres always a criticism of some aspect of the modern world and how we go about our lives. i'll never get tired of the offhand way that rushdie kills off characters, just sends something awful their way and writes something lighthearted about it and moves on as if nothing happened. it's wild but i love it
