Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
5.0
The tone of this book is different from A Daughter of Smoke and Bone.
This is a book about war.
It's dark, at times heavy (thank goodness for Zuzana and Mik for some relief) and full of grief.
Laini Taylor has a way of making you feel everything. This story was so beautiful even though my heart broke over and over again. The amount of times my eyes began to well with tears seamed endless, but my heart would swell from the few sweet moments these characters shared with each other.
The ending (and I'm talking down to the last sentence) was bittersweet but gave me hope...karou.
