It was fine. Nothing more and nothing less.
The story was short and easy to read but also very predictable.
I liked the idea behind the plot, the execution not so much. Of course you won't get that much detail in a story of this length, but I would have liked a little more nonetheless. It just moved a little too quickly, especially the relationship between Ronnie and Sarah.
Maybe I just prefer longer books in general or maybe the author didn't use all the potential for the story, I don't know.
I don't think it was a waste of time and if you want a very quick halloween story for an evening on the sofa with some tea and pumpkin bread, you could give "The Pumpkin House" a go.
