If I had a nickel for each time I read a book where a woman fake dates a semi-coworker for the holidays but ends up falling for his sister instead, and one of these characters was named Ellie, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice. (Kiss Her Once for Me and The Christmas Swap)
I will say this is one of the most successful romances I’ve read! Genuinely funny, some great writing, and generally good characters. When the third act conflict arose, at first I was like ah no stop! But I think it was handled really well and made for a very satisfying ending. A really great holiday romance, would definitely recommend for a cozy audiobook experience!
