They say you should never judge a book by its cover, and I'm the interests of honesty, this book is one where that is definitely the case. For me, there was a mismatch between the blurb and the cover, they didn't seem to tally with each other. But whilst the cover didn't grab my attention, the blurb certainly did.
The story did not disappoint. I liked that each chapter was a different point of view, which means i felt that I could really get to know all the characters. The story was well paced and the chapters were a nice length.
I thought the book was well written, although it felt a little long winded and clunky in places. That's definitely a personal preference though, so purely my opinion on that matter.
The plot was really interesting, and delved into themes of past lives and how we can discover those via mediation. I'm not 100% sold on the idea of past lives, but it definitely makes for an interesting book!
Overall I really enjoyed this book, and wonder if there's a sequel as I feel there were some loose ends.
