Lady Cop Makes Trouble by Amy Stewart

4.0

I loved this sequel to Girl Waits With Gun. At first, I feared I wouldn’t like it as much as the first book, but I was soon drawn into the story and hated to put it down. Now I’m sad that we’ll have to wait quite a while for Kopp Sisters #3. . . .

I particularly admire the way that Stewart has been able, in both books, to build on and weave together real-life events in the life of Constance Kopp to create such a successful work of fiction.

And oh, I was so tickled by the cameo appearance of Dr. W. C. Williams, who tells Constance: “Medical books are very dull, so I keep them by the bed if I have trouble sleeping. Do you read much poetry?”
