Examples: The Making of 40 Photographs by Ansel Adams

informative inspiring reflective slow-paced

2.25

Beautiful pictures and some great reflections here and there in the text.

Ansel refuses to discus the meaning and interpretation of his photographs, which in itself is a fine point. What is left is, to a large part, technical jargon of film development, that will interest some, but is to narrow a scope for me.

Irrelevant anecdotes and a lack of structure to the texts give an impression of a lack of thoroughness, unlike Ansel’s photography.
