Soulless: The Manga, Vol. 3 by Gail Carriger

5.0

Things look pretty bleak for Alexia, who faces public humiliation after it becomes known that she's with child.

Conall does not believe it's his baby and society doesn't either, and to make matters worse, the vampires are determined to kill her before the child is born.

With her allies gone, including Lord Akeldama who is missing, Alexia needs to leave England. She is determined to find out more about the nature of her child and the only place where she might get some answers is Italy, and the Knight Templars' archives.

Conall spends quite some time drunk, realizing that he might have made an unforgivable mistake, but there are things he must take care of in England before he can go after his wife.

Alexia's task isn't without its dangers, however, and the Knight Templars
Spoilerimprison her and intend to study her and her unborn baby and use them for their "holy cause"
. Conall has a lot to answer for by the time the two reunite, but he takes his scolding without complaint and uses every advantage he has to get back into his wife's good graces.

Entertaining story, an adorable couple and beautiful artwork that I look forward to seeing more of.
