The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
1.0
A rapist, an abuser and the most boring human walk into a bar. And then nothing happens aside from what you’d expect a rapist, abuser and most boring human alive to do.
I get it. Addie Larue has seven freckles. I’m reminded every other page. I GET it. The devil has changing green eyes. And the love interest literally has non consensual sex with people everywhere. Did you know when you feel love for someone, all you wanna do is bang em immediately? From the writing to the characterization, this book is a big, stereotypical eye roll. Amazing premise, shockingly dull yet aggravating (not to mention offensive? Possibly triggering?) carry out.
And that ending. Ugh. EYE. ROLL.
