The Silver Star by Jeannette Walls

4.0

I really enjoyed the story, especially since it was from the POV of spunky and free thinking Bean. She was really great. I do wish there had been a little more fleshing out of other characters, but the story definitely gave you enough to go on. The writing style, straight-forward and honest Bean, and the exploration of complicated themes reminded me of Wall’s other books that I’ve read (The Glass Castle and Half-Broke Horses). Highly recommend this one!
