Chloe's grown up in the care system, so when her mother unexpectedly has another child and wants Chloe to take care of her, she agree to try to stop her sister having the tumultuous start to life that she did. There is just one problem, child protection services are concerned about her income - so they pair her up with Warren, who doesn't have secure accommodation to live together so they can both keep their siblings. Will their forced proximity just allow them to take care of their siblings, or will more develop.

I absolutely adored this, I was probably somewhat swayed by the fact I read this the same month I had my baby, so all the newborn baby reference were adorable to me and I just loved them, but I also think that Chloe and I have quite similar people pleasing tendencies so when Warren initially wants nothing to do with her, I felt that hurt and also loved the pushing through of their relationship to actually get to know one another and realise their similarities.

I love the grumpy-sunshine especially when the 'grumpy' isn't actually grumpy he just comes across as such initially, that when you get to know Warren, he isn't actually grumpy he just has a lot of baggage. The deaf rep in this book was excellent too, and I loved Luke and how he interacted with Chloe. The third act break up didn't annoy me as much as it often does, especially as it was miscommunication which is just my least favourite.

All round a solid read but there the third act breakup did take that half star off for me.
