Lights Out was a surprisingly delightful read that totally caught me off guard in the best way. This isn’t my usual genre, so I went in with low expectations… and ended up having a great time. The bed/balaclava/baklava scene had me wheezing, and I loved that the cat wasn’t a prop, but a whole character in the book.
I love supporting authors who are funny, relatable, and clearly having fun with their work. Navessa Allen brings that exact energy on social media, and now into my reading life. Can’t wait to read Caught Up next.
