The Bullet Journal Method
by Ryder Carroll
I'm not even sure how I came across this book, to be honest. I only know that I came across it at a time when I was getting frustrated about having too many planners and notebooks to capture my daily grind.
One of my great friends started reading this book at the time I bought it and she motivated me to start reading it sooner rather than later and that's why I spent the last week completely in love with this book and its teachings.
I used the book as a guide at the same time I was reading it, that is to said, while reading the book I used it as a guide to start setting up my own bullet journal.
I believe - and Ryder Carroll admitted that several times in the book - the practice of bullet journaling is so much more than keeping track of your daily tasks, obligations and commitments. It is actually a practice that helps you get in touch with yourself, with what's important to you, with the things you want to invest in, with the things you're passionate about. It's about taking the time to reflect about who you were, who you are and who you want to become.
The conclusion is that I loved this book. It has the potential of making a huge impact in my life and it impelled me to start a bullet journal - I want to be more focused, more productive and, ultimately, more selective with my time and energy.
