What an INCREDIBLE start to a trilogy. This book just pulled me from my Iron Flame reading slump.
There is a lot of world building that can make the first chapter quite heavy. The character development incredible and just got better as more POVs are added. Once I was 1/3 of the way in, there were endless hooks within each chapter, I could not put the book down! So many breadcrumbs sprinkled throughout, I would catch myself numerous times connecting the pieces or making predictions. I rarely saw the plot twists coming, and they just kept getting better.
Unbelievable this was a debut book until I got to acknowledgments. I already know I'll be reading anything published by Holly Monroe in the future.
