Her hard won career as an emerging fashion designer plummets after her employer/mentor stole the designs from her first collection. But even worse, her best friend dies from an overdose leaving Caroline as guardian to her two small children Now it's back to where she always felt safe, but always wanted to leave, to find a way to remake her life, and make these children feel safe. Well written book that transcends the women's fiction genre and tackles domestic abuse and sexual abuse.
