This entry continues to lack the interactions that made the first two books a joy to read. Kellen also behaved annoyingly for most of the story (largely due to plot devices I tend to dislike), and I really couldn't care much about the fate of the newly-introduced characters. Unless the last two books return to the original form, I am afraid I'm going to end being utterly disappointed with a series I had no hope for before I started, yet proved highly promising.
