The Odyssey by Homer

I'm glad that I read the translation by Robert Fagles. I don't think a translation could be any better. Tells the original story in an easy-to-understand language in verse and not prose. I don't read translations too much. Because translating destroys the original feel, the fabric of the words(?). Most translations are kinda literal translation and that's bad.
Ok, enough with the translation thingy. The story/epic itself was mesmerizing. I haven't read [b:The Iliad|1371|The Iliad|Homer|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1388188509s/1371.jpg|3293141] yet. But, have enjoyed it nonetheless. There were some parts which I'd be able to enjoy more if I had read the first book, but that's some. I won't try to explain the symbolic meanings, the... you know, the deep shit. It was just good, worth reading.
