To preface this, I did not read Divergent. I didn't even realize this was the same author.
Carve the Mark is great if you need a little pallette cleanse. If you like fantasy with a touch of romance, but you're tired of the fae/witch/dragon genre then this might be a nice little break.
Is it a literary masterpiece? No. Was there a complex plot? No. Was it a fun little read that you can easily fly through? For sure
