Beautifully written story. Starts a bit slow as we follow Ruby, the Nurse Maid (childminder) as she moves from one family to another, relocating from London to Yorkshire in the beginning of the 20th century.
A bit of a mystery, a bit of guessing and then in the last 25% of the book - boom - everything I thought I knew turns out to be wrong.
Loved the book, loved the pacing of the story, loved beautifully created characters.
