I didn't know much about astrology before starting this book, and found it to be a very accessible introduction to the western system. It focuses on teaching you how to read and interpret your birth chart, and explains all the different elements of the chart. It's a very basic overview, but that was perfect for me. I went so far as to download the Sanctuary astrology app and have it calculate my birth chart, which proved to be fascinating even if not every section of it rang completely true for me.

Recommended for: People who want an easy-to-understand introduction to western astrology.
