Emily Henry’s books are always so bittersweet. They leave an aftertaste that I don’t know how to feel about.
Loved the first half of the book, I was absolutely in love with Miles (still am a little bit) but after he disappeared he lost me.
In her books I always adore the heroine more than I love the hero. I always connect and relate to the girls in such a deep level. January and now Daphne will always have a place in my heart. These girls have worked for what they have and even though they have been hurt time and time again, they still choose to open their hearts knowing they can be hurt, but they still try and they are still so so brave. I hope one day I can be like that.
I also enjoy greatly how in all her books the mc always works with books, as that’s what I want to do with my life. Oh to be a character in an Emily Henry book, one can only hope. They way she writes, the way l always feel like I’m right there living and going through the hardships of life with them. What a gift she has.
