What My Bones Know: A Memoir of Healing from Complex Trauma by Stephanie Foo

emotional informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

5.0

This was incredible, and I had no idea before I started that this is the same Stephanie Foo of Snap Judgment and This American Life! I've listened to so many of her radio stories over the years. The first part of the book was very difficult to hear as she recounts much of the abuse she endured, but her healing journey was inspiring, relatable, and touching. I loved the amount of research Foo did into complex trauma and healing from it, along with the ways race and culture play a part. Overall a very, very good and needed book.
