I received an ARC of this book from the ALA Conference. All thoughts are my own.
This book had me feeling my feelings REAL HARD. The way the author writes the relationship growth between Coal and Hex is amazing. Coal's humor is always spontaneous and well needed, and Hex's shy but proud personality made me swoon. I love everything about ALL of the characters in this book. The author just made them all so loveable (for the most part). And this book also deals with some serious issues as well, including parental abandonment, neglect, and abuse. While this book had me swooning, there were also points where I was crying or cheering along as well. Overall, this book is a huge recommendation from me.
