Are you missing Derry Girls? Can’t wait for the new Sally Rooney novel? This is the book for you! I loved it but I have to confess that this type of story is tailor-made for me. I love stories about normal people going through mostly normal life with complicated interpersonal relationships. Set in Cork and London, the story follows two roommates as they navigate university, findings jobs, and romantic entanglements. The story isn’t trite or predictable - I had some ideas of what might happen but was surprised at the twists throughout. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was made into a tv show next as Hollywood’s obsession with Ireland grows!
