Life, Unscheduled by Kristin Rockaway
4.0
This story is about a young woman who worked in STEM and was a workaholic. She was picked to be her best friend’s Maid of Honor for her b/f’s wedding. There was a lot of chaos going on with her best friend’s family regarding the wedding. Nicole, the main character, also had a love interest. This story is about doing what you need to do for you, while being there for the people you love. [Written on: Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 5:45 PM]
At first, I did not like the story. Parisa’s sisters were too much and Nicole was glued to her job over at Virtuality. I was hoping that she would quit her job throughout the story. Glad she finally did, though it took her so long. Also, Nicole kept talking about Brandon’s biceps. She was so shallow. That was annoying to read. And she had a difficult time standing up to people. Glad she finally did at the end. What I did like about the book was that the main character was a female working in STEM. I thought that was awesome. I would love to read more books where women in STEM are the main characters. I also liked the relationship that Nicole had with Parisa. I admire the fact that they loved and respected each other. They had such a beautiful friendship. Overall, this was an enjoyable read, though the beginning sucked.
