This was a hard read, but very insightful. Written in the form of diary entries, it showed the life of Celie from her perspective and some from her sister Nettie, about how they survive in North America between the First and Second World Wars.
Heartbreaking and heartwarming. Definitely going to annotate this on the reread when I get there.
