How Freaking Romantic

I was not sure how I was going to feel about this book because I'll be honest I did not like how the FMC was coming across. There is one thing for sticking up for your friends but going to her future ex husband's lawyers office to yell at him for doing his job is another thing. Especially as an upcoming lawyer herself you would think she would know better. But of course she grew on me. Beatrice and Nathan were a fun couple to watch. Bea just really tried to resist having to talk to him but she kept pulling him into her orbit. She was much more of a grump towards their budding friendship than he was. He just kind of left her go and rolled his eyes are her behavior. But as slow burns burn, their relationship builds until it all comes to the surface. There is also a theme of friendship and the feeling of being left behind.
Allyson Ryan is a new narrator to me and I thoroughly enjoyed her work on this! I thought she really brought Beatrice to life and I felt like she was able to get her whininess and apprehension to love.
This was an enjoyable read and good for summer!
