I genuinely really loved this book. I Loved the writing style, the way the characters interacted, the plot, and the changing perspectives throughout. It felt like a nice ride, and it made me want to go pick up her other books. My only complaint would be wanting Lucia to talk to her aunt more and explore her magic. Where it came from how it got there and a more in-depth exploration of her faith with how conflicted she was. Would have enjoyed it if it was a bit more of a political drama, since that was one of the more interesting parts of the story, especially since when the tournament was being stalled it did drag a bit. I still enjoyed the book. 4.5/5
