While we know Celaena has been hardened by her life, there are moments where she shows empathy and kindness of strangers. And this is a quick Novella where she meets Yrene Towers who ended up being rescued by Celaena and hot this young woman, Yrene basics on self protection against men. We learned that this young woman is destined to be a healer, but didn’t have the money to go to the school for it and it sort of gave up. Celaena knows that this world needs more healers and ends up, leaving her with money and continues on her journey.
