It is a testament to Kingfisher that approximately nothing, zero, zilch was answered about the epic cliffhanger of Paladin’s Hope except for one line in Chapter Four…and I still loved this book. Rather than frustrate me (although there is a touch of frustration), the twists and turns Kingfisher took in Paladin’s Faith just has me intrigued and invested in where this series is going. Before starting this book I had a guess at the direction of the series, but Paladin’s Faith changed and challenged that. I love it.

Shane and Margeurite probably rank fourth in my favourite Saint of Steel couples, which I think is understandable with the shift to the larger world-building and plots afoot. While there is still romance in this fourth book, it doesn’t feel as prevalent as it was in Paladin’s Grace. Again, this makes sense with the lens on the world getting larger. There were a few steamy scenes, cute moments, and pining, so it did still deliver on the romance.

Hands down Saint of Steel is a new favourite series and I cannot wait to read the next book.
