ブラッククローバー 2 [Burakku Kurōbā 2] by Yûki Tabata

5.0

Black Clover is about a world where there's magic, but our main character, Asta, has no magic! Nonetheless, he still dreams of being the mage of the kingdom. Asta then receives the rare five-leaf clover grimoire; the grimoire of anti-magic.

The first volume was decent. It was a little confusing at times but overall good. A solid 4-star book. But the second volume was a lot better in my opinion (this happens to me heaps, the first volume is okay/decent but the second volume is always really good)!

I was never confused and knew exactly what was happening, even during battles. The characters are a little cliche, but they've got their own unique trait, so I don't mind. I love how Yuno and Asta still are friendly and caring to each other, even though they are rivals. Noelle is super pretty, we didn't get much of her last volume so I was glad to see more of her. And I think she might be on the path to having a crush on Asta... eeeeh! I liked Nero the bird, he's a cute character, and hope to see him in the next few volumes following Asta non-stop
