The Good House by Ann Leary
3.0

On the fence about this book; the writing is crisp and the characters fully drawn but reading an entire book about a character this deep in denial was... Difficult. I read the book in a few hours, could not stop reading but I wanted more insight and narrative arc. I also found the daughters thinly drawn and not believable. ADDED LATER: I decided I liked the book more that I first thought - because we are all in denial AND I keep thinking about the main character and the mood of the story. Sticks with you even if it uneven and a bit hard to read at times.
