It’s going to be a little hard for me to explain my feelings on this book. It’s not bad, I actually think it is well written and I enjoyed it, but I didn’t like it.

To start, I am not the target audience. I knew that going in and I knew I probably would have mixed feelings based on the fact that this is a young adult novel about highschoolers. Despite not being the target for this, I thought the setting, the characters, and the plot was very well written, and it made sense.

I’ve only ever read one other book by this author, and I hated it. When I compare the two, this one is definitely better. I enjoyed this, whereas the other one I did not enjoy at all. It’s just weird to me to say that I enjoyed a book that I definitely didn’t like.

I am curious to see more to come from this author, but I will probably stay away from her backlist.
