I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
HEA: yes
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: abuse, anxiety, bribery, child abuse (off page), death of parent, depression, emergency c-section, emotional abuse, manipulation, parental abandonment, PTSD, r@pe, spousal abuse, suicide
Kinky Content: dirty talk, fingering, finger licking good, oral, praise, sexting
standalone: book 13 of Decker Family series, interconnected standalones
final thoughts: so much angst and emotional whiplash in this book! While this was an emotional read with a fair number of triggers, there was a lot of support between the MCs and the side characters that helped it to not feel so heavy. Myra was such a cute and fun character that also helped to add levity throughout the story.
While I loved the story and the spice, I felt like there was so much more to their story that we didn’t get on page. Maybe we’ll see them as side characters in the series moving forward to see what happens next?
