Kiss Her Once For Me is a cosy, sapphic, christmas romcom. Not my usual reading choice, but I wanted something light and this twist on the the fake dating trope fit the bill.
As is common with the genre, parts of the story were a bit predictable. And I found myself getting a bit annoyed at the continuation of the lie when it seemed unnecessary to me by around 2/3 of the way through. Having said that, I know this is just down to personal preference.
Overall, I really liked this book. I warmed really quickly to most of the characters, and the story provided the exact amount of escapism I was looking for.
Extra points for the demisexual representation, which was a lovely surprise for me!
