I'm on the fence between 2/2.5 stars. I will say that Colleen is not a horrible writer by any means. I just think that some of the plot points may have needed a second or third opinion before going to draft and then an editor. I did feel sympathy for Kenna up until a certain point. Then when we find out that Scotty was actually alive for another six more hours prior to his death? What? I understand being scared out of your mind but at least call the cops/911! Ledger didn't impress me when it came to his interactions with Kenna. Surely you had to have known what your best friend's girlfriend looked like. I liked Ledger around Diem but I think he was too quick to forgive Kenna. My favorite characters for some reason tend to be the minor/ side ones and Ramon + Lady Diana were no exception.
Moderate: Death, Car accident, Sexual content, and Grief
Minor: Emotional abuse
