I love this book, and this series, but out of all the three, this might have been my least favorite. For something supposedly shrouded in mystery and “whodunit” it went on for a very long time. However, it still retained everything I loved from the first two books: the characters, the action, and a strong ending. Which I why I would, easily and quickly, recommend this book to anyone! I think it is always inevitable that one book in the series might feel a little less strong than the other book [or books] and I tend to feel it more in the end. Maybe it is because the stakes were up and I’m expecting so much, or the later books in the series have more riding on them or are simply harder to write. While I enjoyed the mystery of this book at first, I found it dwindling and a little more juvenile in execution than the content of the other two books. But that doesn’t take away from how good this series is. I enjoyed my time with it so much and I’ve fallen in love with Beaty’s writing. I really hope her other series which I am onto next is just as good.
